Sometimes I like to just sit down and be messy for the sake of being messy - open up the art journal and start glimmer misting or inking or painting but not worrying about the final product. Art journals are a great way to just try out new ideas - maybe you will happen upon a great new color combo, or come up with a great scrapbook idea or embellishment, learn a new technique, maybe you will get the creative juices flowing so you can tackle a bigger project or maybe you will just simply learn something you don't like. I love playing around with my supplies like that - without the pressure of making something "good". So yesterday I spent some time working in a new little art journal: If this is your first time to my blog - Welcome! I would love for you to become a follower of my blog or my facebook page!(see link on right side of my blog!)

Love it! But I love all your creations. :-)
Very lovely. I do the same thing with my art journal.
Well, dang. Where have I been? I don't have an art journal. Your post is just the kick I need to get one, though! Fabulous idea.
Would love for you to stop by this weekend and share it on Passion for Paint!
I so know what you mean about just gettin' messy. I'm a freelance clothing designer and love to have fabric just strewn everywhere once in a while!

Very pretty :)
Lovely examples of art journaling, I've always wanted to learn more advanced stamping techniques. I have tried this kind of thing before but sometimes end up with creativity block and a blank page. I think I need to unplug the next time and not have so many distractions.
Your pages are so pretty. Love the last one.
Beautiful! One of my goals this year is to begin an art journal. I think the creativity will help with my writing.
