Journey Canvas Tag
I'm afraid I'm approaching tag burnout. I am itching to make something else - something new but I haven't had the opportunity to really sit down and commit the time to making something different - so to keep me creating I keep making these tags. This one today is using the new Crate Paper Restoration collection - which I LOVE - seriously this must be the best paper collection of all time! And I added the paper, stickers, die cuts, and rub-ons on top of a glimmer misted piece of sticky back canvas to make this cute canvas tag: This post is linked here:

Autumn in Paris
I made these ATCs (artist trading cards) for my Year of ATCs November - Autumn in Paris class that I taught last week. When I came home I was "reinspired" (is that a word ?- just go with it!) to make a tag using the same papers and stamps. Here is what I ended up with:

Quick Tag and My Weekend
I have a quick tag for you this morning: after taking it easy on the blogging last week I am hoping to get back into posting every day.And in other news: I spent this weekend cheering my husband on as he ran his first marathon - he finished in 3:32:43 - isn't that insane? - that's just a little over 8 minutes a mile - for 26.2 miles! I don't know how he does it! This post is linked at Sumo's Sweet Stuff and here:

Two for the Price of One
I have been totally slacking on the blog posting this week. So to make up for it here are two tags I made last night. They were both "inspired" (partially scraplifted?) from Christine Middlecamp and her Crate Paper Blog Hop post here. If you have been reading my blog for a while you know I secretly (or not so secretly) wish I had her scrapbook style. So when I saw her tags I was like "Why didn't I think of that? Giant polka dots (with polka dot paper) = GENIUS!" Seriously - that's what I said to myself - weird? yeah i know! (just go with it!) Anyways so here they are: This post is linked at Passionately Artistic and here:

Vintage Tag
I spent the last couple of days off of work cleaning my scrap room (seriously it will never be clean!) and working on some tags. Here is one I made using "vintage" pieces (ok new stuff that looks vintage): And if you like the tags make sure to create one yourself and link it up at my Tag You're It Link Party here. And check out the tags that are already linked up!

Weekend Update
If you remember last weekend's post then you remember my house was a giant craft mess! If you were wondering if I actually cleaned it all up - technically - no - I mean the dining room is completely clean and free of all scrapbook supplies but the actual craft room - well... it's still a work in progress: I keep getting distracted, first by the ribbon sorting project, then on Sunday I finally bought a huge sturdy wood craft table to take the place of that crappy plastic folding table I had (still need a chair!). But you have to admit it is looking better! Look you can even see some of the floor! Well you sometimes can see the floor - when Cinnamon isn't taking it up! (sorry for the blurry picture - the lighting in the house is bad - and he was rolling around - though lets be honest he wasn't moving all that quickly so it probably didn't affect the picture!)OH and yesterday I came home to a package in the mail! (isn't that always exciting!) A couple weeks ago Suzanne Vinson of Silver Tree Art was doing a giveaway on her blog to celebrate her 3 year blogiversary (is that a word? I'm going with it - you should too!) Anyways - I won a package of some of her goodies! (and she has the cutest packaging!)My favorite is this pin! Isn't it adorable! I saw her stuff at the South of the James Market (she's a local "Richmonder - is that a word? Again just go with it!) over the summer and was in love with her art!

The tag that inspired a layout...
I made this tag using the new basic grey curio collection hoping to add it to a layout. But instead of adding it to a layout I used it as inspiration for a layout:And yes I hand cut all those flowers out! And i realize there is no journaling - my black journaling pen was upstairs and I was too tired (I'm writing this at 2 am!) to go get it - I will be adding journaling later though I promise!

To Have and To Hold Tag
I'm back! Ok so technically I was only away for like a day - but it felt like FOREVER! I wasn't able to make anything all weekend because I was "cleaning". Which really just means I moved all my crap upstairs to the craft room and i have been trying to sort through it all. But I keep getting distracted - first by the ribbon project and then on Sunday I bought a new craft table! I am SUPER excited about that because the table I had up there was plastic and I never work in that room because the table sucks so I'm hoping this will help me want to use that room more often! Anyways hopefully I will have that clean soon. Back to the tag I made:I was up in my craft room looking for inspiration - usually I look through my papers and try to find something I am interested in using - but then I remembered this:A vintage bride and groom I found at an antique store the other weekend in the mountains. I was SO excited when I found it! Like super super excited! I have been looking for a reasonably priced one for forever. I think I saw a picture in a magazine a couple years ago where someone had a collection of them - it was so cute I have kept that in my head and have been looking for one (or two or three) ever since! So anyways - I used them as inspiration and used basic grey cappella line which has a vintage flair to it to make a tag:And I know you like the tags and want to make one yourself! Make one, post it on your blog and then link it up to my Tag Linky Party here! You have until November 3oth - so get working on those tags!
